OATLANDS POOL, HILLSBOROUGH

We are current looking for a duty manager that would also be qualified to cover swimming lessons when required. The main role will be the day to day running of the pool, liaising with instructors, dealing with parents and enquiries but must be available for cover work in the pool as well.

We require someone who has the following skills:

A good knowledge of Microsoft Excel is essential.

Excellent communication skills – answering the phones, sending texts and emails, updating social media pages and liaising with other instructors.

Needs to be able to follow instructions and also be able to use their own initiative.

Be flexible with working hours including weekends.

Essential Qualifications
STA/ASA Level 2 Swimming Teachers Award/Certificate
STA/IOS Current Membership

RLSS NPLQ, RLSS NRASTC or STA Pool Safety Award for Teachers (this can be completed prior to starting if there isn’t an up to date qualification in place).

Current Safeguarding Certificate

STA Baby and Pre-School would be advantageous but is not essential

Experience
Candidates should be able to offer a minimum of 1 years teaching in children’s and adult group and 1-2-1 lessons.
You should also have a working knowledge of the STA’s International Learn to Swim Programme.
Candidates must have excellent inter-personal skills and above all be passionate about working with people in a customer focused environment.

35+ hours per week

Please note all successful candidates will be required to undergo an Access NI Enhanced Disclosure and provide two referees.

Pay: From £15.00 per hour depending on experience, any teaching hours will be paid at £21.00 per hour

6 weeks holiday per year: Christmas 2 weeks, Easter 2 weeks and 2 weeks in summer.
